White Lily

Parting is a pain because desire is a curse. And perhaps forgetting is a true blessing.

You once said the fairies left a lantern in a valley
Whitest and purest as snow, the little white lily
Caressing the clouds
By the lake that shimmers like rainbows
Gazing the world, no one living contently

Red sunset as the chilly wind blows
You and me, tears streaming in two rows
You are a white lily
I am a lost kite
In a gust, our story comes to a close

To treasure is to inch closer to touch
Your heart, one as innocent as clouds
A letter, faded and pale, in my clutch
But time and forever loses its touch
The silver moonlight
Falls upon the one who misses you so much

Don’t treasure, don’t inch closer to touch
You, one that can never belong to another
Winter rushes in, brown leaves rushes to part
And you rush to disappear like the clouds
White lily
Is the misty shadow you left in my heart

To teach me
To forget is a blessing, not a curse

The translation is not word for word. I feel that it may mask some of the mood and emotions I am trying to express.

Writing this from an inspiration from a song.
Brings me back to the time when you and I can still walk side by side.
