Dandelion

We blew the dandelions away
And saw the translucent bulb
Dissipate
At each breath so long

We blew the dandelions away
To make snow that never melts
Dot the skies
As we dance all day

And we missed the flower for the petals
And saw the clouds without the sky
And we lived a life painted in fragments
Like the dandelion seeds forced to fly

I blew the dandelions away
And saw the glimmer in your eyes
Dissipate
At each breath so frail

You pointed outside the window
And said in silence I will find
True love there
As you fade away

And so I looked for your eyes in the petals
And searched for it in the clouds in the skies
And when I pieced the broken skies together
I find you shining among the stars at night

Often, with miss the beauty of things for the details. Details and intricacies do add to the beauty, but we lose our sight among the cluttered details.

Let’s open our eyes more, to admire the beauty of the whole, together with its intricacies.

The beauty of a person lies not simply with the person, but often within the person. The stars can see it, so let us do it too.
