Arthritis

Swollen hands fumble
Ziplocs are too effective
Inflamed joints grumble

A pill box wrestles
Explodes and scatters the pills
Self care’s a hassle

Sulks in agony
Painkillers causing more pain
Painful irony

Had an interesting class today: Elderly Simulation.
Really enjoyed and learnt a lot from the experience,
especially the activity on packing my own medicine
with my hands taped up, and stuffed into a glove.
This mimics Arthritis.

One can only imagine how much more frustrating it is
to deal with it for years. There is some pain that we can
never know.

One of my rare attempts at Haiku.
Do tell me what you think about it.
